Although today would have been a really cool birthday for the soon to be newest member of our family, our little "tater tot" is still not quite ready to join us outside of the womb. The official "due date" is Friday 2/25, but I have a feeling it's not going to be ready to come then either.
Things are still going good on the tennis front. Our USTA team has made it to the city finals which is on 2/26 & 2/27. The picture is a shot of me hitting a back-hand slice during my match that I won to help us get to city finals, taken by my lovely wife! As for city finals, it really depends on what baby Douglas decides to do on whether I play or don't play. It really will be a Saturday morning decision as we are down to the wire and Sarah could go into labor any day now. In the meantime I am keeping busy with my K-Swiss league winning my first match in straight sets. I was supposed to play my second match tonight but the guy had to cancel on me, so it looks like we've been pushed to Thursday now.
This is actually a good thing as my right knee has really been bothering me lately. I have this pain in my knee right below my kneecap where it is tender and really hurts when I run (pound my foot into the pavement). I played basketball last night and that really didn't help matters any. I've been trying to strengthen it the best I can by doing some squats and lifting some weights at home as much as I can, but it still is bothersome. Sarah made me an appointment with her doctor for my yearly physical and they are going to take an x-ray of my knee to see if there is anything structurally wrong with it. My guess though is that they will have to take an MRI to really find anything out. Oh won't that be fun, that would be my 3rd MRI in the past 10 years.
As soon as we have our new arrival, I'll be sure to put up a shot of the young one here.
